Survey: Confidence in US housing market on the rise

  Americans’ confidence in the outlook for the housing market has risen despite increased optimism about the economy and personal finances, according to the Fannie Mae August 2012 National Housing Survey.

“Consumer attitudes toward the housing market remain modestly positive, despite signs of increased concern over the direction of the economy,” said Doug Duncan, chief economist of Fannie Mae.
